FAA SWIM CLUB FEES & EXPECTATIONS
FAA REGISTRATION FEE:
- There is a non-refundable FAA Annual Registration Fee of $105 for each team member (except for the Masters group).
- When a NEW member joins, the FAA Registration Fee of $105 will be $145 (=105+40 which will cover a one-time FAA Gear Fee (Cap & T-Shirt)).
- The FAA Annual Registration Fee of $105 will cover all administrative costs for the year including (Facility Rental, Annual FL Swimming Association, Coaches and Club’s USA Swimming registrations, First Aid and CPR certifications, Buy or Upgrade equipment, etc.).
- The FAA Annual Registration Fee will be automatically renewed yearly on April 5.
- The FAA Annual Registration Fee will be paid upon joining or re-joining the team any time during the year. Those swimmers who join the team mid-year will pay their team annual fee in full (no pro-rating) and will pay subsequent annual membership fees in April to cover the next year.
USA-S / AAU REGISTRATION FEE:
- ALL Swimmers must be either USA-S or AAU Registered.
- For NEW FAA Members, USA-Swimming athlete registrations are completed by parents; adult athletes will need to register themselves. The registration fee is paid directly to USA-Swimming and expires every December.
- For RETURNING FAA Members, FAA will bulk renew for your athlete in December of each year and charge your account the USA-Swimming Fee in January each year.
AAU & USA-S REGISTRATIONS
For those beginning their swimming career,
AAU is a cheaper alternative (than USA-S) and more than adequate to have fun at clubs and in swim meets.
1. AAU Swimming membership is required for swimmers who will compete in FAA Developmental groups and AAU sanction meets.

2. USA Swimming membership is required for swimmers who will compete USA-S sanction meets.

TYPES OF USA SWIMMING MEMBERSHIPS:
- Premium Athlete ($90) – this is the membership we recommend for ALL swimmers joining the Florida Atlantic Aquatics Swim Club. It allows the swimmer to compete in all meets.
(After your first year, FAA will automatically renew your USA-S membership for you and charge your account directly)
- Flex Membership ($30) – for Developmental groups ONLY (12 & under); with this membership, the swimmer can only compete in no more than 2 competitions per year. If you think your child will compete in ANY meets, we strongly recommend you sign up for the Premium Athlete membership.

Our 18+ athletes will also need to complete the APT (Safe Sport) course.
Monthly Fees & Costs
MONTHLY DUES :
- Our monthly fee is based on an annual figure. To maintain a lower Monthly Fee during higher training months; monthly dues are calculated by taking the annual cost of each group and dividing the payments into 12 monthly installments.
- All Accounts will be automatically renewed, unless a coach/staff member has been notified, in writing by email, that the athlete will not be continuing with FAA.
- This needs to occur at least 2 weeks in advance.

FEES & LATE FEES :
- All Monthly Fees are automatically charged on the 1st of each month.
- A late Fee of $35 will be added to your Account, if the Account is not fully paid by the 5th (at midnight) of the billing cycle. The swimmer will not be permitted on deck past the 10th of the month if dues or fees are delinquent.
(All Transactions have a 3.9% CC processing fee)
ANNUAL COMMITMENT :
Team membership is an ANNUAL COMMITMENT to be paid in 12 monthly installments, due on the 1st of each month. If a swimmer is unable to attend workouts, the installment is still due to retain full team status.
NO PAUSE/HOLD in MEMBERSHIPS :
- Monthly training fees
are not prorated, and no credit will be issued if a member misses a practice session or if the coaching staff schedules a break in the training schedule.
- The FAA Annual Registration Fee will be paid upon joining or re-joining the team any time during the year.
VACATION/HOLIDAYS :
- Coaches will help determine when to enjoy some well-earned time off during the year, which will generally happen around April and/or August. At which time, monthly installments will still be due (to maintain lower cost throughout the year).
- Swimmers will NOT be taken off the roster for a family vacation or absence for several weeks/months.
This policy will be enforced except in the event of a prolonged injury or illness, which will be handled on an individual basis. - For those athletes or families who wish to take a vacation or who do not participate for a period of time, please submit your fee as usual and notify your coach that you will not be present.
- Your position on the team and in the same group/time will be reserved for you until you return, as long as you are current with your fees.
- In the event that fees are not received, your position will be made available to another team member.

SOFTWARE :
- All communication will be made with emails sent from Captyn. We will also have a WhatsApp group your coach can add you to, when requested.
- All monthly dues, Equipment purchases, Meet Fees and Travel Trips are paid through our Captyn (& Wave) Software.
- With our Software, you can change out your Credit card on file, update phone numbers and addresses and look at invoices from current and past months. Each family must have a credit/debit card associated with their account.
- It is the account holder’s responsibility to ensure that credit cards are kept up to date and that payments are successful.
RENEWAL & CANCELLATION :
- All accounts will be automatically renewed, unless a coach/staff has been notified, by email, that the athlete will not be continuing with FAA, at least 2 weeks in advance.
- Cancellations or suspensions: A 2 weeks advance notice of cancellation or suspension must be submitted in writing to the Coach at least 2 weeks before the end of the month to be effective the following month.
- If not cancelled at least 2 weeks before the end of the month, the membership will have to be paid in Full for another month.
All those applying for an FAA membership agree to be bound by the rules and regulations, fee schedules, and late charges currently in effect or as amended in the future.
It takes all of us working together to help our children and coaches realize their potential.

Meet Fees & Costs
SWIM MEETS COSTS & PAYMENTS :
Swim meets cost vary meet to meet. In general there is an entry fee per event, individuals and relays; these fees are set by the host team or Florida Gold Coast Swimming.
General Fees: (based on meet host & location)
1. Along with the cost per event there might be an Athlete Surcharge & a Facility/Meet Surcharges added by the host. In a "Local Meet", a Meet Surcharge will be assessed for all athletes entered in that meet and paid prior to the event.

In addition "Local" & "Away" Meets will have an FAA Fee.
2. In a "Local Meet", an FAA Surcharge will be assessed for all athletes entered in that meet and paid prior to the event. The FAA Surcharge will be determined based on number of sessions and will help cover misc. fees, such as coaches fees, coach's gas and sometimes hotel fees.
Coaching Fee: (based on number of sessions)
- $5 = 1 day Timed Final Meet
- $10 = 2 days Timed Final Meet
- $15 = 3 days Timed Final Meet
- $20 = 2 days Prelims/Finals Meet
- $30 = 3 days Prelims/Finals Meet
- $40 = 4 days Prelims/Finals Meet
3. In an "Away Meet" (In State Driving Distance of more than 1hr), an FAA & TRAVEL Surcharge will be assessed for all athletes entered and broken evenly amongst all athletes (a portion will be paid prior to travel).

FAU Parking Permit
If you are in need of a Parking Permit for the academic year (Aug - July), please follow the steps below:
(1) Stop by the Parking Office, show them proof of FAA membership and purchase permit
(2) Email faupark@fau.edu and they will send you a credit card authorization form for payment
All Parking Permits expire on July 31st of each year, and are only valid in Blue parking lots & Parking Garages:
- Buy in the Fall - $52
- Buy in the Spring - $35
- Buy in the Summer - $25
