Recognized at the 2026 ISCA Orca Awards for sustained excellence in athlete development, program leadership, and long-term impact in the sport of swimming.

Florida Atlantic Aquatics is proud to share that Head Coach Rich Rogers has been named ISCA Coach of the Year at the 2026 Orca Awards. The recognition reflects a coaching career built on sustained athlete development, program growth, and a consistent ability to elevate teams to national relevance. For the FAA community, it also represents the collective work of athletes, families, and coaches who contribute to that process every day.

Rogers’ career spans more than four decades and is defined by a consistent ability to build and lead successful programs across multiple environments. He has guided athletes and teams to national success, including a USA Swimming Junior National Combined Team Championship in 2006, served as Program Director of a USA Swimming Gold Medal Club, and most recently led Florida Atlantic Aquatics to national prominence in under three years.

The recognition was presented at the annual Orca Awards, hosted by the International Swim Coaches Association, which brings together leaders across the sport to honor achievement at all levels. The weekend included coaching education, national team engagement, and Hall of Fame recognition, highlighting the continued growth and development of the sport.

This year’s Hall of Fame class included Matt Kredich (University of Tennessee), Ray Looze (Indiana University), and Kate Lundsten (Aquajets), each recognized for distinguished careers and lasting contributions to swimming.

For Rogers, the award reflects the people behind the process.

“This kind of recognition is never about one season,” Rogers said. “It’s about the athletes, families, and coaches you’ve had the opportunity to work with over time. I’ve been fortunate to be part of that process for many years.”

At Florida Atlantic Aquatics, that philosophy continues to guide the program’s growth—emphasizing technical development, accountability, and alignment between swimmers, coaches, and families.

This recognition reflects not only past success, but the continued direction of the program as it builds toward the future.
